The Volkswagen Aqua was a futuristic, all-terrain hovercraft concept designed by student Yuhan Zhang for the 2011 Volkswagen Car Design Award China. It was not a traditional car, but rather an air-cushion vehicle capable of traveling over water, ice, and sand. Key features included a hydrogen fuel cell powering the main lift fan and separate electric motors for forward thrust, a minimalist two-person interior, and a top speed of 62 mph.
